The first Hunger Games film premiered in 2012, introducing us to Katniss and her survival skills. We also met Prim, her young sister, who is without question the love of Katniss’ life (take that, Team Peeta and/or Gale). In the most recent trailer, rather than learn more about the last installment in the series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, we get highlights of the relationship between Katniss and Prim.

The trailer, titled “For Prim,” shows us what some may have forgotten since 2012: Prim was initially chosen for the Hunger Games, but Katniss volunteered in her place. When Katniss found her way to District 13, she was traumatized. Prim remains her source of comfort.

It’s a sweet video. I wonder if Lionsgate will be producing more of these, perhaps with Peeta and Gale — but not to hint at romance. Our Girl on Fire hasn’t finished her mission, and I’d like to see what else Katniss has to lose.

In the novels, Primrose is a wise-beyond-her-age girl who has her mother’s healing touch and doesn’t shy away from hard work. Prim loves her sister, her mother and her cat, Buttercup — who Katniss hates for being another mouth to feed.

Spoilers: Katniss and Buttercup eventually come to an understanding.
