After sitting out the week, Supergirl finally returns next Monday. To whet our appetite for the upcoming angst-ridden episode (if you've seen the extended trailer, you'll know what I mean), The CW has released 28 new pics.
Next week will feature a proper introduction to Teri Hatcher (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) and Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) as Mon-El’s (Chris Wood) parents – the King and Queen of Daxam. While his folks seem thrilled to have found him, it’s clear Mon-El doesn’t feel the same way. He recently told Kara (Melissa Benoist) he would run the other way if he ever came across his father, after all, so it's clear there's some bad blood there. Also, that's basically what the synopsis says.
Titled “Star-Crossed” (nice reference to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, seeing that this new Supergirl installment is about a boy from Daxam and a girl from Krypton), the episode will lead directly to the hotly anticipated musical crossover with The Flash, airing the following night (so don’t forget to tune in for both!), and introduce the Music Meister (Glee’s Darren Criss) to the Arrowverse.
A new villain (guest star Teri Hatcher) comes to National City, putting Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) on high alert. Meanwhile, Winn’s (Jeremy Jordan) girlfriend, Lyra (guest star Tamzin Merchant), gets Winn in trouble with the law. Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) attempts to help Winn but old loyalties get in the way. The Music Meister (Darren Criss) attacks Supergirl.
Supergirl returns Monday, March 20, at 8 p.m. on The CW. The Flash airs Tuesday at 8 p.m.
