A new set of movie posters for the upcoming videogame flick Pixels have been released, hinting at the gloriously pixelated, retro mayhem coming our way.
The five new posters have debuted on the Pixels Facebook page, and each features a classic arcade videogame icon wreaking havoc on a major city. Our favorite? Pac-Man chomping down on San Francisco, just 'cause we love the little yellow round guy.
Below is the summary of the upcoming movie:
When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ‘80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Michelle Monaghan stars as the team’s Weapon’s Specialist, whilst Brian Cox plays Admiral Porter.
Directed by Christopher Columbus, Pixels will hit theaters on June 24, 2015.
It's a strange concept for a film, but it does make us long for our days of arcade glory. What do you guys think?
