One of the coolest sci-fi flicks of the year doesn’t even have a U.S. release date yet, but a new trailer shows us what we’re missing with Bong Joon Ho’s Snowpiercer.

South Korean director Ho (The Host) is a buzzy up-and-comer, and this films looks to be possibly his best yet. But aside from some snippets and a collection of atmospheric pics, we haven’t seen a whole lot.

Thankfully, a new trailer shows off a ton of new footage. Chris Evans, John Hurt and Tilda Swinton star in the future-set flick aboard the last train on a frozen Earth. It’s fairly high-concept, and shows what happens when you trap the last remnants of humanity on a train and set it going for a few years.

Not surprisingly, we turn on each other, and an epic class war develops between the front and back compartments.

The flick opens in South Korea next month, though we’ll have to wait a little longer than that for a U.S. distributor and release date.

What do you think? Could this one live up to the hype?
