Next month, Marvel’s The Defenders will finally make its Netflix debut. After meeting Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) in their individual series, we'll see the heroes join forces to fight the ultimate baddie.

The network and studio are pulling out all the stops for The Defenders marketing campaign. With San Diego Comic-Con underway it’s the perfect time to bring out the big guns. The latest teaser features comic book creator and legend Stan Lee riding through the streets as narrator, delivering some inspiring words.

“It’s not about being powerful,” says Lee. “But finding your calling when you least expect it. They show us it’s OK to be vulnerable no matter how tough you are. Because even though they’re heroes, they’re still human.”

But the real surprise comes at the end, as Lee's intro is the perfect setup for the return of Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), who makes a surprise appearance at the end. Now, don't take that as confirmation he'll be in The Defenders (he does have his own series on the way, of course, and Defenders was planned out before that), but it could mean a cameo is brewing, right?

Marvel’s The Defenders debuts Aug. 18.
