Imagine you're out at the supermarket, buying milk and eggs. Suddenly, you hear a strange noise coming from the produce department. You spin around and see a zombie ambling towards you!

Yes, this has probably happened in your dreams/nightmares, or possibly in a Halloween haunted house. But now this could really (okay, virtually) happen to you.

AMC and Next Games just announced a new location-based augmented reality game called The Walking Dead: Our World. Available for mobile devices "soon" (no release date is set), the game will use your phone's camera to show you the walker lurking behind the avocados, or the zombie creeping up on your child. Characters from the TV show, including Rick, Daryl, and Michonne, will also pop up to assist on your quest. Throughout the game, you can pick up supplies and new weapons for more efficient walker squashing.

Check out the game trailer above. It doesn't give much information, but it does look fun. Just make sure to watch where you're going, or else a real-life danger could kill you before the zombies ever get a chance.

The Walking Dead returns for its eighth season on Oct. 22 on AMC.
