Having premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival, the upcoming film  Devil's Gate now has a release date and brand-new trailer.

IFC Midnight's latest creature-driven horror film, starring Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Amanda Schull (12 Monkeys), will be available via VOD platforms in just a few weeks, on January 5, 2018.

The local law enforcement in Devil's Gate, North Dakota, played by Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation) and Shawn Ashmore (X-Men), call in an FBI agent (Schull) to help investigate the mysterious disappearance of a rancher's (Ventimiglia) wife (played by Bridget Regan) and son. But as the saying goes, nothing is as it appears. And while it seems like Ventimiglia's character is suspicious, he's also terrified. But of whom? Or should we say, what?

Clay Staub cut his teeth as second unit director on Shaun of the Dead and now makes his directorial debut with the film, which features a creepy (and gross) creature, a bright light coming from the sky, and a warning to stay out of the family's business. Sounds terrifying. The town is called Devil's Gate, after all, so you had to know it wasn't going to be a pleasant place to settle down.
