Ahead of The Walking Dead’s highly anticipated Season 6 premiere, AMC has released three new videos highlighting how Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Carol (Melissa McBride) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) have changed over the course of five seasons on the horror drama series.

Titled “Then and Now,” the video interviews have the actors talk about the evolution of their characters from their early beginnings (Michonne didn’t technically appear before Season 3, although she had a very cool stand-in cameo appearance during the Season 2 finale), right until now. Each also reveal their favorite scenes/episodes. In the case of actor Andrew Lincoln, it's the iconic moment when Rick headed to Atlanta on horseback all the way back in Season 1.

Season 6 will open with our group of zombie-apocalypse survivors still in Alexandria, where things are still bumpy, as some of our favorite characters are having trouble fitting in (especially Rick) with the denizens of the walled-off community of the Alexandria Safe-Zone.

“The Walking Dead” Episode 6.01 – “First Time Again” (airs 10/11/15)

Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group are still having trouble assimilating into Alexandria. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them further apart? Directed by Greg Nicotero; written by Scott Gimple and Matt Negrete.

The Walking Dead also stars Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, Alanna Masterson, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Seth Gilliam, Tovah Feldshuh, Ross Marquand, Alexandra Breckenridge and Austin Nichols. New cast members for Season 6 also include Corey Hawkins, Ethan Embry, Tom Payne (in the role of fan fave Paul “Jesus” Monroe) and Merritt Wever.

Are you excited for the return of The Walking Dead in less than two weeks? Which character do you think has changed the most over the run of the series?
