We've seen Snakes on a Plane; now prepare for zombies on a jumbo jet when AMC delivers a special standalone episode of The Walking Dead to air in its entirety online and sandwiched in between commercial breaks during the upcoming season. Entertainment Weekly has reported that AMC's "flight from hell" episode will dovetail into the timeline of its spinoff series, Fear the Walking Dead, and entails the cabin-clogging entrails that are bound to emerge after a shambling walker runs amok on a crowded airliner. One of the heroic passengers who survives the in-flight attack will be seen as a cast member in the sophomore season of Fear the Walking Dead next year.
Great, one more reason for me to NEVER step on a winged transportation machine again in my life! World War Z already showed you what can happen when a deadhead outbreak occurs while cruising past the flyover states, and it ain't pretty. First class, business class or coach, zombies aren't particular about where the buffet is seated.
AMC's Fear the Walking Dead can be seen Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The Walking Dead's new season returns Sunday, Oct. 11.
Are you intrigued by this yet-untitled airplane episode, or is the walker world getting a bit crowded for you?
