New filming pics from the set of Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) in the role of the titular superheroine and Chris Pine as her love interest, Steve Trevor (Star Trek), have made their merry way online.

The images (first published by the Daily Mail) show stars Gadot and Pine in World War I period clothing while filming took place on location in Essex, England. Also spotted on set (but not seen in the pics below) was Ewen Bremner (AVP: Aliens vs. Predator) in an undisclosed role. Judging from the photos, it definitely looks like he’s playing a World War I soldier.

These pictures arrive hot on the heels of that first shot which revealed the Star Trek actor in period clothing. According to a new rumor, this is not Steve Trevor we're seeing in those World War I images, but rather his grandfather. Pine will play both characters. The pics are also adding some legitimacy to the speculation that Wonder Woman will take place over a couple of eras. Other pics show some World War I props, including  British military recruitment posters.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman also stars Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya and Lucy Davis. It is set to open in theaters on June 23, 2017.
