Fox has released a brand-new TV spot for the X-Files revival six-part event series. And it's glorious.

The thrilling new 30-seconds promo featuring some new shots of Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) aired during last night’s episode of Gotham before being unleashed online and it asks -- or rather, Mulder does: “What if our work, the X-Files. Everything we’ve been led to believe in is a lie?” What if, indeed!

Check it out:

The footage also features Community star Joel McHale's new X-Files character, Tad O’Malley, as well as FBI Assitant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi). The revival will also see the return of Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis), last seen blown to smithereens. I can't wait for them to explain that one away! I think this is the one thing on TV I'm most excited to see next year. How about you?

The 6-episode event series is set to premiere on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016.
