A brand-new clip for X-Men: Apocalypse has dropped, featuring some exciting mutant action!
The second clip from director Bryan Singer’s superhero movie (the first one featuring Rose Byrne’s Moira MacTaggert was released last week, and you can see it here) features everyone’s favorite shape-shifting mutant Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) showing up in some sort of underground mutant fight club where a young Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is literally thrown into the ring against Angel (Ben Hardy).
It’s obvious the young teleporter is there against his will -- he was a prisoner inside that sort of electrified traveling case/coffer thingy after all. But our badass Raven is there to come to the rescue! It’s really cool to see Nightcrawler “BAMF!-ing” his way across that cage while Angel means serious business. Dude looks angry! No wonder he gets sucked in by Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) and becomes one of his Horsemen. Check it out:
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27. Are you looking forward to the movie?
