New York Comic Con 2018: Here's everything you need to know

After San Diego Comic-Con set the bar high for all things geeky, New York Comic Con 2018 isn’t even giving fans a chance to do much more than dry clean their cosplay outfits before barreling back with tons of news, panels, and screenings. Oh, and booths of course. Gotta get that swag. As always, we’re here to help answer some basics about the huge convention and make sure your NYCC goes as well as possible.

When is the con?

New York Comic Con 2018 runs from Thursday, Oct. 4 to Sunday, Oct. 7.

When are the hours?

The show floor is open from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. each day except Sunday, when it closes at 5:00 p.m. Artist Alley remains open an hour later through Saturday evening. As for the panels, they start at 10:30 a.m. each day and run until 10:30 p.m., except on Sunday, when everything clears out by 5:00 p.m.

Where does it take place?

New York Comic Con will be at the Javits Center over at 655 W. 34th St. in Midtown Manhattan.

How can I attend?

Currently, only badges for Thursday are still available (which you can buy here). These badges will be delivered in the mail, but only if you hop on them now. Kids under 5 get in free, but everyone else needs to register, verify, and get their own stuff.

What can’t I bring?

Selfie sticks, drones, cosplay weapons that aren’t VERY CLEARLY fake, any sort of luggage, or a bad attitude.

Who’s going to be there?

A lot of folks. Basically everyone you could ever want. Check out our constantly-updating page of panels, stars, and events to keep track of the notables attending the fest.

This isn't final. It's still more than a month out from the convention, and we'll have more info coming your way as soon as it's out there.
