The more we see of writer Luc Besson's new sci-fi prison adventure flick Lockout, the more pumped we are about the Snake Plissken-style antics of leading man Guy Pearce. The first clip we showed you was all about the banter, but this time it's all about the sci-fi action.
Snow (Pearce) is a government agent with a real "man on the edge who plays by no one's rules" vibe. He's been sent to a maximum security space prison that's been taken over by the inmates, where he's supposed to rescue the president's daughter (Maggie Grace) in exchange for his own freedom.
As we pointed out last time, this all has a real Escape From New York-in-space kinda feel to it, but this clip proves that Besson and co-directors James Mather and Stephen St. Leger are shooting for something above and beyond John Carpenter's cult classic, at least when it comes to the action.
Watch as Snow tries to navigate the choppy antigravity of a giant pit full of turbines. It would be much easier if that prisoner weren't clinging to his ankle.
Pretty badass, right? The flick drops in April, and after this we're even more impatient to see it.
