2 new clips show how Prometheus' aliens and spaceships were made

Whether you like the story or not, there's one point that's hard to argue about Ridley Scott's recent sci-fi flick Prometheus—the special effects were positively epic. Now some behind-the-scenes footage has been released that shows how a few of the biggest scenes were created. Minor spoilers ahead!

The folks at The Daily got to sit down with the FX gurus at Weta Digital, who broke down how they made the Engineers, including the opening scene where the hulking alien disintegrates into a waterfall.

A second clip shows off how the greatest action scene in the film—the massive ship-crashing finale—was created.
