How amazing was that Doctor Who Christmas special? Pretty amazing, if you ask us. But you know what was even more awesome? The epic new trailer that showed us glimpses of what to expect in 2013, including an enticing mystery, plus some tantalizing new guest stars and some returning villains.

Never mind the age-old question: Doctor Who? It's rather who or what in the Time Vortex is Clara Oswin Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman)? There's definitely more than meets the eye with the Doctor's (Matt Smith) brand-new companion (or is it companions, plural), something that no doubt involves some wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff we're now used to expecting from Who and its showrunner, Steven Moffat.

More will be revealed in the spring of 2013 when Doctor Who returns, sonic screwdriver blazing, for its highly anticipated season seven: part two.

So have look at what's coming up next year!

It's like a truly epic second half of season seven, with eight more episodes that include some fantastic and illustrious guest stars, such as Game of Thrones' Dame Diana Rigg and Liam Cunningham, as well as a new episode written by Neil Gaiman himself (featuring the return of the Cybermen no less). We can't wait for 2013 to start.

How do you like the exciting new trailer? Are you thrilled about the mystery of the Doctor's new companion, Clara? And what about what's coming up for our beloved Time Lord? Any moment from the trailer you can't wait to see in the upcoming season?
