The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has some brand-new photos from The Amazing Spider-Man, and one of them gets you right up in the green face (snout?) of the movie's villain, the Lizard.

In the pages of its new "Summer Must List" issue, EW debuts a clutch of new shots from the July 3 release, which reboots the Spider-Man franchise with a new cast (including Andrew Garfield in the title role), new director (Marc Webb) and long-awaited villain in Dr. Curt Connors, aka the Lizard, played by Rhys Ifans.

In one of the shots, we see a still semi-human Connors looking alarmingly at his mutating arm, while a second pic features Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) surveying the damage caused by the doctor in a presumably reptilian state.

But the real money shot is a close-up of the Lizard's face staring through what looks like blinds of some kind—and we feel bad for whoever he's looking at, because his hideous visage is about 10 inches away.

And while he doesn't exactly have a snout, we're happy to say that the Lizard's famous lab coat will at least make a token appearance in the film.

What do you think of this latest look at the leering Lizard?
