Don't blink or you'll miss David Tennant in 1st Fright Night trailer

We're glad that after the awesome pic of David Tennant as Peter Vincent from the new Fright Night remake a couple of days ago, we didn't have to wait long for the first trailer—as well as a new poster—of the comedy/horror film. And it's a killer!

The hot new trailer (which kind of reminded us a bit of a cross between The Lost Boys and The Sarah Connor Chronicles) shows Anton Yelchin as Charlie Brewster, Imogen Poots as his hot new girlfriend, Toni Colette as Charlie's mom and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Charlie's best friend Ed.

We also see a lot of Colin Farrell, who plays the murderous vampire-next-door Jerry Dandrige, a role that was previously played to chilling and charming perfection by Chris Sarandon back in 1985.

Sadly, we see very little of David Tennant, but what we do see makes us think there's definitely more than meets the eye to Peter Vincent, and that the Criss Angel look we saw him sport may only be something he wears for his Vegas act.

But take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think.

Directed by Craig Gillespie, Fright Night will hit theaters on Aug. 19, 2011.
