New trailer for Woody Harrelson's Zombieland: Maybe it won't suck

We admit that we were skeptical about Zombieland, the upcoming horror comedy starring Woody Harrelson, but the newly released trailer (after the jump) has us reconsidering.

The genre seems ripe for lampooning, though it's hard to imagine any zombie satire more perfect than Shaun of the Dead (or George A. Romero's own movies, for that matter). Still, judging from the trailer, it looks like this new movie, directed by newbie Ruben Fleischer, has an appropriately Apatowish slacker sensibility we find hard to resist ("You guys want some Purell?").

That, and Emma Stone. And, we're promised, Bill Murray as a zombie!

Here's the official synopsis:

Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn't have fears. If he did, he'd kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they're about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.

Zombieland, which also stars Abigail Breslin (!), opens Oct. 9.
