A few weeks ago, we were absolutely floored by the epic 6-minute trailer for Andy and Lana Wachowski's time-jumping Cloud Atlas. Now a new, much shorter trailer has hit the 'net with a more refined take on the film's central message: "Everything Is Connected."

First, because we're definitely dealing with a complex film, it's probably best to take another look at the official Cloud Atlas synopsis.

"An epic story of humankind in which the actions and consequences of our lives impact one another throughout the past, present and future as one soul is shaped from a murderer into a savior and a single act of kindness ripples out for centuries to inspire a revolution."

In this trailer, what's rippling out through the centuries is a piece of music known as the "Cloud Atlas Sextet." Though it's very rare, it somehow manages to connect a number of seemingly unconnected people from the past to the far future. From there, though we don't yet know how, lives change, love blossoms, and, yes, it definitely looks like a revolution is sparking.

With a cast that includes the likes of Tom Hanks, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Hugh Grant, Halle Berry and many, many more, Cloud Atlas is definitely set up to be one of the most ambitious films we've seen in a very long time. Check out the trailer.

Cloud Atlas hits theaters Oct. 26.
