News briefs: Malkovich in Transformers 3; Airbender star in Cowboys

John Malkovich will have an as-yet-undefined role in Michael Bay's third Transformers movie, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told

The Last Airbender star Noah Ringer has been cast in director Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens, joining a cast that includes Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde.

ABC will host "Lost Live: The Final Celebration," a screening and fundraiser at UCLA on May 13, Variety reported; the event will feature a live orchestra—conducted by Oscar winner Michael Giacchino (who serves as Lost's composer)—performing music from the show.

Editor Tom Elkins (The Da Vinci Code) will become the director of A Haunting in Georgia, the follow-up to A Haunting in Connecticut, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
