News briefs: Scott Pilgrim trailer, Mission: Impossible IV directors?

Brad Bird, the director of Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles and Ratatouille, is one of several contenders to direct the next Mission: Impossible movie, which would be his first live-action movie, The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog reported; other contenders for the May 27, 2011, release include Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer and Shaun of the Dead's Edgar Wright, who has Scott Pilgrim vs. the World coming out this summer.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed the not very surprising title for the series finale of ABC's Lost. That's right: It's called "The End."

Angela Bassett is joining the cast of Green Lantern opposite Ryan Reynolds, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong, Variety reported; she will play Dr. Amanda Waller, a government agent who is a staple of the DC Comics series.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios Florida is opening on June 18, the park announced.
