News briefs: Waltz in Hornet, Gravity grounded

A week after Nicolas Cage reportedly dropped out of Seth Rogen's upcoming Green Hornet movie, Deadline Hollywood reports that Inglourious Basterds star Christoph Waltz will take over the role of the villainous gangster; Den of Geek, meanwhile, hints that the film, which is currently shooting for a summer 2010 release, may be pushed back to the end of the year.

Spider-Man 4 will be released in IMAX theaters simultaneously with the film's worldwide release on May 5, 2011.

Ace Showbiz reports that ABC has grounded its Grey's Anatomy-in-space show, Defying Gravity, announcing last Sunday's eighth episode as the "season finale," though there are two more installments in the can.

London will host a traditional Dickensian Christmas as Jim Carrey, Colin Firth, Robin Wright Penn, Bob Hoskins and director Robert Zemeckis come together to celebrate the world premiere of Disney's A Christmas Carol in the city on Nov. 3.
