News briefs: Burton heads Cannes jury; AC/DC scores Iron Man 2

Alice in Wonderland director Tim Burton will serve as jury president for this year's Cannes Film Festival, Variety reported.

The music of AC/DC will be featured in the upcoming Iron Man 2, Columbia Pictures announced; Columbia Records will release the album AC/DC: Iron Man 2 on April 19, featuring 15 classic songs. The movie opens May 7.

Carter MacIntyre has joined the cast of J.J. Abrams' NBC drama pilot Undercovers, joining Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a husband and wife who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of retirement, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Starz premiere of Spartacus: Blood and Sand Friday night was the best series debut in the network's history, with 553,000 viewers on Starz and another 460,000 on sister network Encore, Variety reported.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is teaming up with sister networks ABC, ESPN and ABC Family for a week-long, cross-network promotion for Alice in Wonderland, with 60-second first looks customized for each network, all of which will air between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6.
