C.H.U.D. has a clever report about how Watchmen director Zack Snyder deleted his squid and has it, too.

Marvel Entertainment is packaging some of its superheroes for an upcoming Cartoon Network animated series, Variety reported. The Turner Networks cable network has ordered 26 episodes of the Marvel Super Hero Squad, in which Captain America, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Wolverine and Iron Man team up to fight crime.

Fans have created The Hunt for Gollum, a 40-minute independent film inspired by The Lord of the Rings, which is to be released to the Internet for free on May 3. You can watch the trailer after the jump.

The Little Mermaid is getting a new underwater villainess, the Associated Press reported: Faith Prince will join Disney's Broadway musical as Ursula the sea witch and will begin performances April 7.

DreamWorks' hit sequel Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa captured the top spot on the national home-video sales charts for the second consecutive week, despite a flurry of challenges from a handful of newly released theatrical features, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
