News briefs: Elm St. rated R; Spy Kids 4 gears up

Not much of a surprise here: The new remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street has received an R rating from the MPAA for "strong bloody horror violence, disturbing images, terror and language"; we're down! Movie opens April 30.

Production Weekly tweets: @prodweek Robert Rodriguez's "Spy Kids 4: Armageddon", is scheduled to begin filming mid-July at his Troublemaker Studios in Austin.

Movieline reports that True Lies star Tom Arnold is the second actor to join the cast of Peter Berg's sci-fi board-game adaptation Battleship, joining the previously announced Taylor Kitsch.
