The Los Angeles Times reports that Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) is under consideration to direct the remake of the classic vampire comedy-drama Fright Night, which will be updated by writer Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Andrew Adamson (the first two Chronicles of Narnia movies) is set to direct a new computer-animated/live action fantasy movie Fountain City, Variety reported; Joby Harold wrote the script based on an idea by both of them.

The cable network ABC Family has acquired air rights to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland under a deal that gives ABC Family the rights to the network television premiere in 2012.
