News briefs: Friday girl enters Ward; Munn joins Iron Man 2

Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th) will star opposite Amber Heard in The Ward, a psychological horror thriller that John Carpenter is directing for Echo Lake Entertainment and A Bigger Boat, according to The Hollywood Reporter; the story follows a girl (Heard) who is admitted to a psychiatric ward, meets other girls there with distinct personalities and discovers a mysterious girl haunting the halls at night.
Olivia Munn, host of G4's daily Attack of the Show, has landed roles in Marvel Studios' Iron Man 2 and Fox's Date Night, with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell, Variety reported.

HBO has cast Allan Hyde as the mysterious missing vampire Godric in the July 19 episode of True Blood, Chicago Tribune TV blogger Maureen Ryan tweeted;
Godric is described as the "oldest vamp" and the "most human."

Bloody-Disgusting reported that director Ti West (Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, The House of the Devil) is getting behind the camera for The Haunting in Georgia, Gold Circle Films' sequel to The Haunting in Connecticut.
