News briefs: Fringe casting, Daybreakers poster, Beastly image

Meghan Markle (90210) has joined the cast of Fox's Fringe in the recurring role of a new, attractive, brash and quick-witted junior FBI agent, according to The Hollywood Reporter; Markle takes the place of Kirk Acevedo, whose FBI agent Charlie Francis won't be back.
... reports that 20th Century Fox has hired writer Kyle Ward (Fiasco Heights) to write the sequel to 2007's video-game-inspired Hitman.

A new poster has gone live for Daybreakers, an upcoming sci-fi movie starring Ethan Hawke as Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires; the movie opens Jan. 8, 2010. (Click the image for a larger version.)
