News briefs: Hannigan baby pops, Big Blu-ray drops

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast members Alyson Hannigan and her husband, Alexis Denisof, welcomed their first child on March 24 (which also happens to be Hannigan's birthday: she turned 35); People magazine reports that the baby is a girl named Satyana Denisof and is the first child for the couple, who have been married for 5 1/2 years.

Big and Predator 2 are among the titles set to make their debut on Blu-ray disc from Twentieth Century Fox and MGM and Home Entertainment.

La-La Land Records will release Wendy and Lisa's original score album from NBC's Heroes on April 7 via their Web site and on April 21 in stores.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases Marvel X-Men: Volumes 1 & 2 on DVD on April 28; all 32 episodes of the animated TV series will be available.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment wraps up National Reading Month and celebrates the Blu-ray and DVD release of Bedtime Stories with a Bedtime Story Reading Relay Race to benefit First Book Charity on Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hollywood & Highland entertainment complex in Hollywood; cast members and other celebrity readers will pile onto an oversized bed and share their favorite bedtime stories and for every book read during the event, Disney will donate 100 books to First Book, a national charitable organization providing books across the country to programs and children in need.
