News briefs: Iron Man 2 casting, new TMNT, Dead blog

Kate Mara and Clark Gregg have joined the cast of Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2, which is shooting in Manhattan Beach, Calif., according to The Hollywood Reporter; Mara's role is being kept under wraps, while Gregg returns as Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Mirage Group is moving forward with a new live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, focusing on the origins of the iconic crime fighters, according to The Hollywood Reporter; the project, targeted for release in 2011, would mark the fifth big-screen outing for the sewer-dwelling heroes Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.

Producers of Dead of Night, the upcoming adaptation of the Italian supernatural comic series Dylan Dog, have put up an official production blog.

The New York Times reported that the current issue of Wired magazine, from guest editor and Star Trek director J.J. Abrams, is full of puzzles, which one person has already solved.
