News briefs: Kick-Ass site; Twilight star's new job

An official Web site has gone live for Kick-Ass, the satirical superhero movie based on Mark Millar's comic series, which opens April 16, 2010.

Twilight star Ashley Greene is in talks to star in The Apparition, a supernatural movie, inspired by true events, about a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment, Variety reported.

Director Hideo Nakata (the original Japanese version of The Ring) has been tapped to direct Zanuck Independent's supernatural thriller Voice From the Stone from a screenplay by Mark Wheaton and adapted from an Italian novel, about a female child psychologist who takes on the case of a young boy who made a promise to his dying mother to remain silent until her spirit returns, Variety reported.

Jennifer's Body arrives on an unrated Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 29 with bonus features including an unrated extended cut with more sex and terror, writer and director commentary, deleted scenes, gag reel, video diaries, a Megan Fox public service announcement and more.
