News briefs: Milla Jovovich tweets; new Box viral site

The Fourth Kind star Milla Jovovich has created a Twitter account from the set of her next film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, which is currently shooting in and around Toronto; ShockTillYouDrop, meanwhile, has posted pirate images from the production, including the one above.

A viral Web site has gone live for Richard Kelly's The Box, based on the Richard Matheson short story, which opens Friday.

Zach Galifianakis is in talks to voice the Humpty Dumpty character in the Shrek animated spinoff movie Puss in Boots, according to The Hollywood Reporter; Tom Wheeler is writing the screenplay for the prequel, which will feature the voices of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in a story about the events leading up to the feline assassin's first meeting with Shrek & Co. in the second film.

Mandalay Pictures has picked up film rights to Machine Man, an SF novel whose pages are being posted online each day by author Max Barry, Variety reported; Vantage Books plans to publish the novel in 2011. It concerns a tech engineer who's tired of going through life average and unnoticed, so he replaces parts of his body with titanium upgrades of his own design.
