News briefs: More Sucker casting; 32 Candles adapted

Oscar Isaac (The Nativity Story) has joined the ever-growing cast of Zack Snyder's fantasy action movie Sucker Punch, along with Jon Hamm, Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Carla Gugino and Vanessa Hudgens, Variety reported.

Miramax has acquired feature rights to Ernessa Carter's 32 Candles, a fairy tale about an ugly duckling from a Mississippi town who escapes to Los Angeles, Variety reported; the novel's central character reinvents herself as a beautiful lounge singer and runs into her high school crush.

Sam Raimi and Joshua Donen's Stars Road Entertainment has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Sony Pictures TV and has tapped CBS senior vice president for drama Robert Zotnowski to spearhead the company's efforts to develop programming for prime-time TV, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

An American Werewolf in London Full Moon Edition drops on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 15, with new featurettes and other bonus materials.

Futurama: The Complete Collection 1999-2009 lands as a 19-disc set Oct. 13 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, including all 72 episodes of the animated cult series, as well as the four feature-length adventures: Bender's Big Score, The Beast With a Billion Backs, Bender's Game and Into the Wild Green Yonder.
