Empire magazine has published the first official photo of Sam Worthington in Warner Brothers' Clash of the Titans (which has been scanned by SlashFilm); the movie opens March 26, 2010 (see a larger version after the jump).

Entertainment Weekly reports that director Robert Luketic (Monster-in-Law) is with Dino De Laurentiis' company (which owns the rights to the original property) to develop a new version of Barbarella; Sin City director Robert Rodriguez turned down the project because he wanted to stay in Austin with his family and not travel to Germany, where it would have shot.

In a related note, the previously unseen photograph of Jane Fonda (below) as the original Barbarella by Paul Joyce is to go on display in London, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Universal Pictures and Hasbro announced that Stretch Armstrong has been given a release date of April 15, 2011, and that producer Brian Grazer will team with Hasbro to bring the iconic action figure to life for the silver screen; Steve Oedekerk is writing the screenplay, and Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir will also produce.

Two new LucasArts video games are underway based on the classic Monkey Island franchise; the first, Tales of Monkey Island, will unfold as five monthly episodes on PC and WiiWare beginning July 7. The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition comes next, a completely re-imagined version of the first game, for Xbox LIVE Arcade.
