News briefs: Robert Englund join Inkubus; Happy Town tanks

The original Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund, will star in Inkubus, about a demon that walks into a soon-to-be-demolished police station with a severed head and begins to confess to crimes dating back to the Middle Ages, Variety reported; the cast also includes William Forsythe, Joey Fatone, Jonathan Silverman, Mike Cerrone and Michelle Ray Smith.

A fourth Ice Age animated movie, Ice Age: Continental Drift, is slated for release on July 13, 2012, Variety reported.

Comedy Central is developing a half-hour animated show called JC, centering on Jesus Christ wanting to escape the shadow of his "powerful but apathetic father" and live a regular life in New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Wednesday's second episode of ABC's Happy Town saw its audience plummet by 29 percent from the premiere, landing in last place for the 10 p.m. hour, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In its second week of release, the home video of Avatar again topped both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc sales chart, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Bio Channel announced a new reality series hosted by Star Trek's William Shatner called Shatner's Aftermath, which looks at Americans who became overnight household names, such as The Unabomber and Iraq war PFC Jessica Lynch.
