William Shatner traveled to Cannes to unveil his reality show, Weird or What, Variety reported; the Discovery Channel series will examine some of the weirdest unsolved cases around the world, ranging from paranormal phenomena, to medical oddities and bizarre natural disasters.

Travis Adam Wright has been hired to adapt Here, There Be Dragons and The Search for the Red Dragon, the first two books in James A. Owen's young-adult fantasy series The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

New Regency is in negotiations to pick up I'm.mortal, a sci-fi script from Andrew Niccol, who also will direct the film project, set in the not-too-distant future where the aging gene has been switched off, The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog reported.
