News briefs: Spielberg's alien pilot; new Sorority clips

Steven Spielberg's untitled alien-invasion drama pilot has landed in Canada for a two-week shoot, according to The Hollywood Reporter; the DreamWorks Television project for TNT, about a group battling an occupying alien force, is shooting in and around Hamilton, Ontario. Noah Wyle stars.

Stephen Moyer, who plays a vampire on HBO's True Blood, will play a vampire hunter in the upcoming Priest, joining Lily Collins of 90210, Variety reported; the Scott Stewart-directed Screen Gems thriller also stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet (another former vampire, from Twilight) and Maggie Q.

NBC released a new image of Hayden Panettiere as Claire Bennet from the upcoming fourth season of the superhero series; the image appears to show Claire after an unfortunate fall. (Click to enlarge.)


Justin Theroux will play the supernatural villain of Your Highness, a Universal comedy directed by David Gordon Green, joining Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel in the film, about an arrogant, lazy prince (McBride) who must complete a quest to save his father's kingdom, according to The Hollywood Reporter; Theroux will play Leezar, an evil wizard with a bejeweled magical staff who kidnaps a princess (Deschanel).

Two new clips have gone live for the upcoming horror movie Sorority Row, which opens Sept. 11.
