Star Trek star Chris Pine (James T. Kirk) will be honored as the Male Star of Tomorrow at ShoWest 2009 on April 2 in Las Vegas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling brought a second French Legion of Honor award into her family last week in Paris, decades after her great-grandfather received the honor for battlefield courage during World War I, the Associated Press reported; French president Nicolas Sarkozy bestowed the title of knight in the Legion of Honor on Rowling.
