Cowabunga! John Fusco has been hired to write the new live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, scheduled for a 2011 release, Variety reported; the new film will incorporate elements of the Turtles comics, created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman in 1983, and is being envisioned as an origin story.

Writer Brad Ingelsby and Warner will develop a movie based on Sacred Prey, Vivian Schilling's paranormal novel about a hitman who finds himself cast back in time three days into the body of a man he killed and must prevent his own assassination, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sam Raimi's horror thriller Drag Me to Hell drops on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 13.

Disney will display props and costumes from sci-fi and fantasy films, including The Rocketeer, The Black Hole and the original 1982 Tron at the D23 booth at Comic-Con International this week in San Diego; eFX, meanwhile, will preview pieces from its new line of Disney collectibles, including a 4-foot, 1/45th-scale replica of the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
