News briefs: U.N.C.L.E. reboot due; Foxx voices a toon

Warner Brothers has hired Max Borenstein to write a new draft of a screenplay for a movie version of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the campy 1960s spy TV show, The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog reported; David Dobkin is attached to direct the project.

Producers Daniel Alter and Adrian Askarieh have optioned Suspension, an action-horror spec script by Scott Milam, to be directed by Patrick Tatopoulos (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans), Heat Vision reported; the story is set in the German Alps where survivors fleeing a raging fire face a new kind of creature.

Jamie Foxx and 20th Century Fox Animation are teaming on toon Welcome to the Jungle, based on an original pitch by Foxx and writer Malcolm Spellman, Variety reported; Foxx is attached to star in the toon, which marks his first foray into feature film animation.
