Two of the Avengers celebrate birthdays today: Mark Ruffalo was born on this day in 1967 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, while Scarlett Johansson was born in New York City on this day in 1984.

Years later, this:

Today was also the premiere date of 1991's The Addams Family.

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, the movie was a major career launching point for Christina Ricci and earned a Golden Globe nomination for Anjelica Huston. There are roundly good performances, particularly from Dana Ivey, Dan Hedaya, Christopher Lloyd, and Raul Julia.

Finally, today is also the day that Back to the Future Part II premiered in 1989. The movie had high anticipation and opened to mixed reviews. To be fair, it has some unpleasant moments.

And also some brilliant ones.

Look, there's a reason a lot of these movies premiere around Thanksgiving. So, dig in and then kick back with a series, huh?

Tomorrow: Scrooged.
