It's not every day you decide to go back and revisit an old favorite in the realm of television, but this week proved to be that way for me, because it seemed no better time than to rewatch Penny Dreadful. If you haven't watched that amazing series yet, I highly recommend it, with its spooky Victorian atmosphere and its unique homages to classic monsters like Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde, the Wolf-Man, Dracula and more.

- You, the allure of "serial killer sexy" and why the "bad boy" appeal never dies, even with fake murderers. (Pajiba)
- Rediscovering a love of reading after grad school. (Electric Literature)
- Aquaman and how the job of female-minded criticism is complicated by the way we are treated. (The Huffington Post)
