Looking back on 2017 (let's face it, we're almost to the end), it's crazy to think about everything that's happened in the world of genre. It's been such a long year that sometimes I catch myself forgetting that we got a Wonder Woman and a Star Wars and a Thor movie all within 2017. This year was a disaster fire at times, but it was also a gift.
I'm ready to bunker down for the holiday weekend. Enjoy your presents!
- The Greatest Showman masks P.T. Barnum’s monstrous past. (The Daily Beast)
- What could a new and improved Bechdel Test look like? (Five Thirty Eight)
- Why are monster romances so appealing? (THR)
- 2017 was a big year for Asian Americans in film. (NBC Asian America)
