The day after Valentine's Day can feel a bit... anticlimactic. (No pun intended.)
I've been rounding out the latter half of this week by trying to keep the romance theme alive, i.e. buying up a bunch of romance novels recs from this piece by fellow Fangrrl Kayleigh, which has been a great form of self-care and a wonderful distraction from a lot of this country's garbage at the moment. Similarly, I'm finally seeing Black Panther tonight! It's the little things, really.
(For the record: I don't have so much of a candy hearts hangover as I do a massive steak hangover. That's a thing too, right?)
- Author Maya Rodale talks about the revolutionary act of reading romance. (Shondaland)
- The warrior women of Wakanda are worth celebrating in Black Panther. (Fresh Fiction)
- Why Batman and Wonder Woman are the perfect superhero duo. (io9)
- Hype for Black Panther could outshine the movie - and that’s just fine. (Indiewire)
