We're officially in the latter half of the week (or, as I like to call it, the post-Expanse half), though there hasn't been a slew of media news lately. All is relatively quiet on the Western front leading up to the release of Solo (which you should definitely get out to see).
The weekends are where it's at these days anyway in terms of all the TV we've been devouring lately, and speaking of which:
- Does Season 2 of Westworld kind of remind you of Lost? (Vulture)
- Women of color can finally enjoy action movies. (Medium)
- There’s underlying sexism when the romance genre is criticized, novelists say. (CBC)
- On horror’s fight for respect. (Vague Visages)
