Objects in Space 6/22: No more smashing

It's the day before Friday, and you know what that means: Happy Thorsday!

That's right, we've officially re-dubbed this particular day of the week in honor of one of our favorite Avengers (the best Avenger, in my opinion, with Cap a very close second). In honor of Thor himself, remember to drink lots of coffee (without the smashing of mugs), and if you have the chance to square off against one of your work friends in a gladiator-style fight to the death a la Thor: Ragnarok, TAKE IT.

Barring all that, check out some of our favorite links from the day!

- Bio-frequency healing stickers might sound like something right out of the best science fiction shows (The Expanse, anyone?), but unfortunately for Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP, NASA is calling bullsh*t on the legitimacy of the product. Stick 'em on all you want, but these "astronaut stickers" are about as effective as, well, actual stickers. (Gizmodo)

- Who else misses Star Trek: Deep Space Nine? Luckily for us, there are people out there willing to do the work of the Prophets and rewatch the series for us. Check out this analysis of a Major Kira-heavy episode, "Past Prologue." (Black Girl Nerds)

- One of The Handmaid's Tale's most brutal scenes from its first season featured none other than Rory Gilmore herself, Alexis Bledel -- which is one of the reasons it proved so devastatingly effective. (Inverse)

- This piece is the only thing you should read about Carrie Fisher this week. (Pajiba)

Got anything to send in our direction like Thor calling for Mjolnir? Leave it in the comments or tweet it to us over at @Syfyfangrrls.
