Hold your breath, make a wish, count to three. Come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination ...

That's how I look at Fridays, at least. The way current events are unfolding, even making it to the weekend can feel like a tiny victory. And it is! Never underestimate the power of small triumphs -- or how reading, listening to or watching just the right thing can turn your entire day around. That's one of the reasons we put this link roundup together for you, because we know how important it is to engage with plain good stuff these days.

As always, if you want to send us something to feature in a future post or give a shoutout to, feel free to leave it in the comments or send it to us in 140 characters or less over at @Syfyfangrrls.

- GLOW premieres on Netflix today, and the reviews thus far are certainly resemblant of the show's title itself. They're downright effervescent, they're so glowing. Give the trailer a watch and then @ me once you've binged this show in its entirety. You're welcome. (Vice)

- Sometimes all you need are thirsty pieces about famous people, and the good news is that the folks at Pajiba are once again churning out their nominations for 2017's most worthy of being dubbed "sexiest celebrity." This one about American Gods' Pablo Schreiber is especially noteworthy.

- Blade Runner is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, but there are a lot of ways to watch this movie. Which cut of the film is the best for you? (Nerdist)

- Wonder Woman was great and all, but maybe we need to talk about how much screen time Steve Trevor got. (The AV Club)

You're still here? It's over. Go home.
