The Sunday after an epic horror marathon feels almost the same as con drop, doesn't it? I had to recover in much the same way as I likely will after Comic-Con: greasy breakfast food and lots of coffee. But if you missed out on watching The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs over on Shudder, they've now released all 13 films with his entertaining interstitial commentary for fans to watch and enjoy. (Which is good, because I missed the first part of it due to sleep, site glitches, and other issues.)
- Rebecca Harrison writes about conducting her study on female speaking roles in Star Wars and what she learned. (Women and Hollywood)
- Crimson Peak and the allure of Gothic horror. (Tor)
- Did you watch Shudder’s The Last Drive-In marathon this weekend? If so, you need to read host Joe Bob Briggs on the loneliness of the cord cutter.
- Labyrinth reminds us that even girls that aren’t destined for some heroic calling can and will fight like hell if the need arises. (Bright Wall/Dark Room)
