Thursdays are almost as bad as Mondays, because that means Friday is only hours away. Sometimes it certainly feels like everything would be improved if we had some great reads to wait out the clock until Friday rolls around -- and after that, the weekend!

You can do it. You're almost there. In the meantime, we put together some links for you, and we hope you'll enjoy them.

A friendly reminder: You can always send us suggestions for links to include in our daily round-ups. We accept payment in the form of comments below or via our Twitter over at @Syfyfangrrls. (GIFs optional but encouraged.)

- This is what football will look like in 17776. An ongoing short story that just has to be read to be believed. (SB Nation)

- Twin Peaks is making its official Comic-Con debut this year. I only hope everyone rises to greet Kyle MacLachlan with a big resounding "HELLOOOOOO!" (Deadline)

- In a post-Get Out world, one critic makes the argument for why we need horror films now more than ever before. (LA Weekly)

- Preacher's Tulip is major summer style inspiration, if you're into that kind of thing. (Observer)

Apparently today is International Kissing Day, so go smooch some cuties.
